RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

1. About This Policy

This Return and Refund Policy applies to digital products purchased from MICSS, operated by J. Werkmeester.

MICSS currently sells downloadable digital content, including Lifestyle for a Lifetime – The MICSS E-book. Because this product is supplied as a PDF download, no physical product is shipped or returned.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

2. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area normally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within fourteen days without providing a reason.

For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal may end when the customer begins downloading the digital content, provided that the customer has first:

  1. Expressly consented to the immediate delivery of the digital content during the withdrawal period; and
  2. Acknowledged that the right of withdrawal will be lost once the download begins.

Where these requirements have been met and you have started downloading the e-book, you can no longer cancel the purchase solely because you changed your mind.

If you have not started the download, or if the required consent and acknowledgement were not validly obtained, you may retain your statutory right of withdrawal.

The loss of the right of withdrawal does not affect your rights if the digital content is faulty, incomplete, inaccessible or materially different from its description.

3. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

If your right of withdrawal still applies, you must notify us within fourteen days after the purchase agreement was concluded.

You can submit a return or cancellation request by signing in to your customer account or by emailing:

Please include:

  • Your full name.
  • Your email address.
  • Your order number.
  • The name of the purchased product.
  • A clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but using that exact form is not required.

4. Refunds Following a Valid Withdrawal

If you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payment received for the relevant purchase.

The refund will be issued without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after we receive your withdrawal request.

Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase. You will not be charged a refund fee.

5. Faulty or Non-Conforming Digital Content

Please contact us if:

  • The PDF cannot be downloaded or opened.
  • The file is corrupt, incomplete or contains a serious technical defect.
  • You received the wrong digital product.
  • The supplied product is materially different from its description.
  • Your valid download attempts were used because of a technical failure.
  • The download link does not function correctly.

We may first attempt to resolve the problem by:

  • Restoring your download access.
  • Providing a new download link.
  • Supplying a corrected or replacement file.
  • Providing reasonable technical assistance.

This will be done free of charge, within a reasonable period and without causing significant inconvenience.

Where the problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable period, or where another remedy is required by applicable consumer law, you may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or termination of the purchase agreement and a refund.

A minor difference that does not affect the normal use or promised characteristics of the digital product may not automatically entitle the customer to terminate the agreement, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

6. Duplicate and Unauthorised Payments

If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same order, contact us and include the relevant order and payment details. Any confirmed duplicate payment will be refunded.

If you believe a purchase was made without your permission, contact us promptly. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and investigate the claim.

7. Download Limit

The download link for the MICSS e-book can be used up to five times. Customers should save the PDF to their device after downloading it.

The download limit does not remove your legal rights. If a legitimate technical failure uses your available attempts, contact us. After verification, we may restore access or provide a replacement link.

The limit does not permit the e-book or download link to be shared with other people.

8. Situations That Normally Do Not Qualify for a Refund

Subject to mandatory consumer law, a refund will normally not be provided where:

  • You changed your mind after validly consenting to immediate delivery, acknowledging the loss of your withdrawal right and beginning the download.
  • Your device does not have compatible PDF-reading software, where the required PDF format was clearly disclosed before purchase.
  • You accidentally deleted the file after successfully downloading it, although we may help restore access where reasonably possible.
  • You expected personal health, physical, lifestyle or performance results that were not expressly guaranteed.
  • You shared the download link or file without permission.
  • You breached the personal-use licence contained in our Terms of Service.

We will always assess requests fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

9. Processing Time

We aim to respond to customer-service and refund requests within three business days.

Once a refund has been issued, your bank or payment provider may require additional time to process it and display it in your account. This processing time is outside the direct control of MICSS.

10. Business Purchases

The statutory fourteen-day consumer right of withdrawal does not normally apply when a product is purchased entirely for business or professional purposes.

Rights relating to faulty or non-conforming digital content remain subject to the applicable agreement and law.
